Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Wastewater Engineer to independently design pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities for municipal water and wastewater systems. You will coordinate project work, write specs, size equipment and support owner communications from our Missouri offices.

The role requires a PE license, 10+ years of relevant experience, and strong skills in AutoCAD, MicroStation and hydraulic modeling.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
A minimum of 10 years experience with municipal water and wastewater systems planning and design.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent (P.Eng).
Strong background in designing water distribution systems.
Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation and hydraulic modeling software.
Project engineering and project management experience required.

Responsibilities

Independently create detailed designs, plans, specs and estimates for pipelines, pump stations, treatment plants and related systems.
Coordinate engineering work, write specifications, plan tasks and select equipment.
Establish new quality standards and value engineering solutions.
Perform QA/QC reviews of designs.
Serve as a technical expert in water and wastewater systems.
Occasionally act as project manager on water/wastewater projects.
Perform other duties as needed.
