Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Wastewater Engineer in Missouri to independently design pipelines, treatment facilities and storage systems for municipal water/wastewater projects. You will coordinate engineering work, write specs, size equipment and collaborate directly with owners to deliver compliant, efficient solutions.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years’ experience, a PE license, and strong skills in water distribution design, AutoCAD, MicroStation and hydraulic modeling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
• Minimum 10 years experience with Municipal Water and Wastewater Systems Planning and Design.
• Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license recognized by the licensing board.
• Strong technical background in designing water distribution systems.
• Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation and hydraulic modeling software.
• Project Engineering and Project Management experience is necessary.
• Commitment to employee-owned culture and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Independently create detailed designs, plans, specs for pipelines, plants and storage systems.
• Coordinate engineering, write specifications, plan work and select equipment with owner collaboration.
• Establish new quality standards and value engineering solutions.
• Conduct quality control reviews of completed designs.
• Serve as a technical expert in water and wastewater systems.
• Act as project manager on water/wastewater projects as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
