Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Wastewater Engineer in Missouri to lead design of pipelines, pump stations, treatment plants, and storage systems for municipal water facilities. You will work on complex projects, coordinating with owners and teams to deliver robust solutions.

Qualified candidates have 10+ years in municipal water/wastewater design, a PE license, and strong skills in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and hydraulic modeling, with a commitment to HDR's employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
10+ years experience with Municipal Water and Wastewater Systems Planning and Design.
Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (PE).
Strong technical background and experience in designing water distribution systems.
Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation and hydraulic modeling software.
Project Engineering and Project Management experience is necessary.

Responsibilities

Independently create detailed designs, plans, specifications and estimates for pipelines, pump stations, treatment plants, tanks and other water/wastewater systems.
Take responsibility for engineering/design, project coordination, specs, planning, method selection, report prep and coordination with the owner.
Establish new quality standards and value engineering solutions.
Conduct quality control reviews of completed designs.
Serve as a technical expert in water/wastewater systems and as a project manager as needed.
Perform other duties as needed.
