Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Wastewater Engineer in the United States to independently design water and wastewater systems, lead projects, and ensure quality. The role requires a PE license and a strong background in municipal water/wastewater design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) required.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience with Municipal Water and Wastewater Systems Planning and Design.
• Professional Engineer license (PE or P.Eng) required.
• Strong background in designing water distribution systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation and hydraulic modeling software.
• Experience in project engineering and project management.
• Commitment to employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Independently design pipelines, pump stations, treatment plants, tanks and other water/wastewater systems.
• Lead engineering and process design, coordinate projects, and write specifications.
• Establish new quality standards and value engineering solutions.
• Conduct quality control reviews of completed designs.
• Serve as a technical expert with authority in water and wastewater systems.
• Serve as a project manager on water/wastewater projects as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
