Job summary

HDR is seeking a Wastewater Professional Engineer to join our Water Business Group. Based in Minnesota, Saint Louis Park, you’ll lead design and analysis for municipal and industrial wastewater projects, coordinating multi-discipline teams and reviews with agencies.

You will apply your civil/environmental engineering expertise, PE license, and experience in water distribution design, to deliver innovative, practical solutions for clients across the region and beyond.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
Minimum 10 years experience with Municipal Water and Wastewater Systems Planning and Design.
Professional Engineer license (PE or P.Eng) recognition by licensing board.
Strong technical background in designing water distribution systems.
Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation and hydraulic modeling software.

Responsibilities

Coordinate the wastewater design team through schematic design and contract documents.
Lead meetings with governing agencies for code compliance.
Coordinate workload to meet project schedules.
Conduct on-site work sessions with Project Manager and other disciplines.
Review process mechanical documents for conflicts across disciplines.
Write and edit process mechanical specifications and select equipment.
Coordinate addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders; incorporate changes.
Provide construction contract administration as needed.
Perform QA/QC on team outputs as needed.
Perform other duties as needed.
