HDR, Inc. seeks a Water/Wastewater Engineer to lead design on mid-size projects, directing contract documents and technical specifications for treatment facilities and collection systems.

The role includes guiding engineering staff, managing scope changes, and coordinating subconsultants. The position involves leading planning and design work for sewer and reclaimed water facilities, nutrient removal, and emerging contaminant studies, with construction oversight and quality control

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's in Civil or Environmental Engineering with relevant wastewater experience
• Experience in biological, physical and chemical treatment processes
• PE licensure or PE exam completion required or in progress
• Willingness to travel up to 3 days/month locally and up to 5 days/quarter nationally

Responsabilités

• Serve as design lead on mid-size projects, directing contract documents and technical specs
• Lead project teams, manage scope, schedule, budget, and subconsultants
• Lead engineering services during construction (submittals, RFIs, change orders)
• Prepare sewer plans, reclaimed water master plans, and nutrient reduction evaluations
• Develop process designs for nitrogen/phosphorus removal and perform cost estimation
• Lead emerging contaminants monitoring and removal studies at facilities
• Perform quality control reviews of complete treatment system design and documents
• Support market development and proposal preparation for new projects

Formation

Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

Experience in wastewater engineering or environmental science

Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or PE exam
