Job summary

HDR’s Water Business Group seeks a Water/Wastewater Engineer to help shape sustainable water solutions in Missouri. You will contribute to delivering safe drinking water, treated wastewater, and resilient infrastructure for communities with bold thinking and technical excellence.

You’ll lead design efforts, guide mid-size projects, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. A PE license and at least 3 years of water-focused experience are required, with a commitment to HDR’s employee-owned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or related engineering fields.
• Minimum 3 years experience executing technical studies, analyses, and/or designing and creating plans and specifications for water focused projects.
• Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
• Ability to make independent decisions and be accountable for the results.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for performing complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed.
• Function as technical specialist or project manager on mid-size projects as needed.
• Supervise small staff of professionals and technicians as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
