Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Waste Manager to plan, direct, and oversee waste collection, disposal, recycling, and treatment activities. You will supervise staff, coordinate daily operations, and maintain client relationships while driving efficiency and cost controls.

Responsibilities include budgeting participation, vendor management, and ensuring compliance with regulations. A degree and driver license are preferred, with certifications encouraged for career growth within the CBRE team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 5–8 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Facility Management certification preferred.
• Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, measuring and rewarding performance.
• Experience in Waste Management across multiple sites.
• Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complex information and convey expectations.
• Leadership skills to motivate teams toward operational targets.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision to employees and conduct evaluations.
• Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities and schedules.
• Maintain positive client relationships and address facility/waste issues.
• Assist in monitoring efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods.
• Perform facility inspections and implement improvements.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and direct changes.
• Develop vendor relationships and oversee invoicing and purchase orders.
• Apply knowledge of discipline to achieve team and client objectives.
• Lead by example and align with CBRE RISE values.
• Identify and solve day-to-day and moderately complex issues.
