Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Helena, MT is seeking a Waste Manager to plan, direct, and oversee waste collection and disposal activities across sites.

You will manage staff, coordinate daily work, and maintain client relationships while improving service delivery and efficiency. The role requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and a valid driver's license, with experience in multi-site waste management and strong leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Facility Management certification preferred.
• Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
• Experience in Waste Management and managing multiple sites.
• Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
• Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
• Intermediate math skills and ability to calculate percentages, fractions, and other financial calculations.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor and track training and development; conduct performance evaluations.
• Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities; set work schedules and deadlines.
• Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility/waste issues.
• Assist in monitoring and evaluating service delivery methods and procedures.
• Perform facility inspections and suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, upgrades.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and direct changes.
• Develop vendor relationships and oversee invoicing; review and approve purchase orders.
• Apply knowledge of your discipline to achieve team and client objectives.
• Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values to influence stakeholders.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues.
