Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Tipp City, OH is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee all DF building operations for shipping, receiving, inventory control and sanitation, driving efficiency and cost effectiveness.

You will lead a team of 40+ and supervise 3+ salary supervisors while implementing safety practices and process improvements. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in supply chain or operations management (or equivalent) and strong Microsoft Office skills, plus proven leadership and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Operations Management preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years management experience in distribution, warehousing, or supply chain.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Operational knowledge to identify trends and adjust the business accordingly.
• Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple projects and set priorities.
• Proven track record of mentoring and developing direct reports.
• Knowledge of Federal and State regulatory guidelines and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Hires, leads, directs, and supervises 40+ team members indirectly in day-to-day distribution operations.
• Hires, leads, directs, and supervises 3+ salary supervisors directly.
• Trains, develops and coaches supervisors to achieve business results and growth opportunities.
• Accountable for goals and financial metrics of the teams.
• Reviews capital-project options and drives actions from start to finish.
• Monitors and analyzes costs to meet budgetary goals and drive efficiency.
• Creates a positive work environment using real-time feedback and surveys.
• Promotes a diverse, inclusive team environment leveraging different experiences.
• Designs processes that leverage diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
• Manages inventory control to ensure correct shipments and on-time delivery.
• Identifies areas for improvement and implements changes.
• Sets productivity goals by shift, area and department; ensures safety and sanitation.
