Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Distribution Operations Manager in Ohio to oversee DF building operations—shipping, receiving, sanitation and inventory control—to expedite merchandise efficiently and cost-effectively. This role ensures safety and drives processes aligned with organizational objectives for all team members.

The position leads 40+ team members, supervises 3+ salary supervisors, and coaches leaders to achieve results while promoting growth and cost efficiency across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Operations Management or equivalent experience.
• 3 Years Management experience in distribution, warehousing or supply chain.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Operational knowledge to identify trends and adjust accordingly.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Mentoring and developing direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Hires, leads, directs, and supervises 40+ team members in day-to-day distribution operations.
• Hires, leads, directs, and supervises 3+ salary supervisors directly.
• Trains, develops and coaches supervisors toward business results and growth.
• Accountable for goals, metrics and shift performance.
• Oversee capital projects from start to finish and act on recommended actions.
• Monitor costs to meet budgetary goals and improve efficiency.
• Create a positive work environment with actionable feedback.
