Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Distribution Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of DF building operations, including shipping, receiving, sanitation, and inventory control, ensuring timely and cost‑effective merchandise flow.

You will lead a large team, manage capital projects, monitor costs, and uphold safe work practices while driving productivity and continuous improvement. A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field and 3 years of management experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Operations Management preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 3 years management experience in distribution, warehousing or supply chain.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to communicate clearly, plan, organize and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Hires, leads, directs, and supervises 40+ team members indirectly in day-to-day distribution operations.
• Hires, leads, directs, and supervises 3+ salary supervisors directly.
• Trains, develops and coaches supervisors to achieve business results and growth.
• Hold leadership team members accountable for goals and financial metrics.
• Identify areas for improvement within the facility and develop plans to implement changes.
• Manage inventory control methods to ensure correct shipments and timely delivery.
