Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor for the 2nd shift to plan daily shipping and receiving to meet department goals. You will assign tasks, coordinate receiving, put-away, inventory control and sanitation, ensuring productivity targets are met.

You will lead staffing, coach the team, build development paths, and maintain positive relations with staff and unions. A strong focus on safety, policies and scorecard metrics drives daily performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management preferred.
• 3+ years of leadership and/or warehouse management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, trains, develops and maintains staffing levels to meet daily operational goals.
• Identifies high potential team members for leadership development opportunities.
• Fosters positive relationships with team members and union representatives to promote retention.
• Cultivates a positive work environment and supports diversity.
• Ensures adherence to Meijer policies and practices.
• Establishes and monitors DC Scorecard metrics for productivity and efficiency.
• Trains, coaches and leads teams to achieve performance, quality, cost and service goals; operates material handling equipment safely.
• Manages team member concerns and handles investigations with HR alignment.
• Monitors performance metrics and delivers coaching and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Evaluates warehouse processes and proposes improvements.
