Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics is seeking a capable Operations Supervisor to lead warehouse operations across multiple shifts, ensuring performance and safety standards. You will partner with the Operations Manager to balance labor, space, and equipment to meet service and cost objectives.

The role requires 5+ years in logistics with 3+ years in supervision, plus forklift training. Excellent leadership, planning, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a logistics, distribution, or relevant environment.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Preferred: Advanced MHE knowledge and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct staff meetings to review daily and weekly work activities, plan workload, and support continuous improvement.
• Keeps management and client representatives informed of operational issues that may impact service, safety, or cost.
• Leads and oversees larger, multi-shift, or higher-complexity operations within the facility.
• Provides coaching, mentoring, and guidance to Supervisors and lead team members.
• Partners with Operations Management to support planning, staffing, and workload forecasting.
• Proactively identifies operational risks and improvements and develops action plans.
• Ensures SOPs and safety standards are followed across teams.
• Drives productivity, service, safety, and KPI achievement.
• Supports cost control initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Acts as escalation point for complex employee relations or operational issues.
