Job summary

Maersk in New Brunswick is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to coordinate activities of workers handling ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials in the stockroom and yard.

You will plan inbound and outbound schedules, determine staffing, assign duties, ensure safety procedures, monitor productivity, and manage payroll while maintaining inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviews inbound appointment log and open order report to plan work activities.
• Plans inbound and outbound schedules to meet customer metrics.
• Determines staffing needs based on workload and schedules staff accordingly.
• Assigns workers to duties based on workload and shipping schedules.
• Ensures operational procedures are communicated and understood by warehouse staff.
• Tracks productivity and evaluates performance by individual and department.
• Maintains inventory accuracy with Inventory Control.
• Manages the payroll of the department.
• Advises employees on handling items received, stored, and shipped; equipment use and safety procedures.
• Traces item history to resolve discrepancies between inventory and stock records.
• Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
• Issues instructions and ensures safety compliance.
• Resolves grievances to maintain harmony among workers.
