Job summary

Maersk in the United States is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to coordinate activities for 20+ employees in Operations. You will plan inbound/outbound schedules, assign tasks, and monitor productivity while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

The role demands strong leadership, organization, and the ability to manage payroll and training processes. You will work with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook, and contribute to efficient stock control and performance improvement across the warehouse

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, and short correspondence.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and present information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates activities of workers in stockroom, warehouse or yard.
• Plan inbound/outbound schedules to meet metrics and customer needs.
• Determine staffing based on workload and schedule staff accordingly.
• Assign workers to duties based on workload and shipping schedules.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and communicate procedures to staff.
• Track productivity and evaluate performance by function and department.
• Manage payroll for the department and advise on handling items.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company quality standards.
• Resolve grievances and maintain harmony among workers.
