Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Sr. Manager, Warehouse to lead a safety-first, cost-efficient warehouse operation in the Plainfield IL DC. You will develop warehouse managers and ensure timely receiving, storage, and loading of goods while maintaining food safety and OSHA compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, 5+ years of supervision, and experience with WMS and inventory control systems. Onboarding begins in Aurora, IL, with duties based in Plainfield IL.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in warehouse supervision required.
• Broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods and procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
• Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP and other regulatory requirements.
• Ability to interpret financial and operational data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Achieve safety, service, and cost targets in the warehouse.
• Oversee and develop Warehouse Managers through coaching and training.
• Oversee and develop warehouse associates and retention strategies.
• Drive efficient workflow and clear communication across departments.
• Staff planning, interviewing, and performance management to hit targets.
• Develop production flow processes and cost reduction strategies.
• Monitor inventory losses, production goals, and safety reports; propose changes.
