Job summary

US Foods in Plainfield, IL is seeking a Sr. Manager, Night Warehouse to lead a safety-first, cost-conscious warehouse operation. You will develop Warehouse Managers and frontline staff, drive productivity, and ensure accurate receiving, storage, and outbound loading while upholding food safety standards.

The role involves coaching teams, managing shift coverage (Sun–Thu), and maintaining OSHA/HACCP compliance in a large DC environment.

Qualifications

Minimum of five years of experience in warehouse supervision required.
Broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods and procedures.
Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP and regulatory requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control systems a plus.

Responsibilities

Achieve safety, service, and cost targets in the warehouse and lead a safety-first culture.
Oversee and develop Warehouse Managers through coaching and policy training.
Oversee and develop all warehouse associates and drive engagement/retention.
Review staffing and interview/hire warehouse personnel to meet targets.
Develop production flow processes and cost-reduction strategies.
Verify incoming shipments, handling, inventory accuracy, and loading.
Monitor operational data and drive zero-error accuracy and customer satisfaction.
