Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Warehouse Manager based at our Hobart, IN location. You will manage and coordinate all warehouse functions for the Harvey location, including safety programs, receiving, storage, picking, and shipping.

The role leads a department of approximately 7 salary and 60-80 hourly employees. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of warehouse and logistics experience, with 7 years at the management level, and lean manufacturing or Lean/Six Sigma experience is desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of warehouse and logistics experience.
• 7 years at the management level in a warehouse.
• Experience with WMS, JDE and RF Smart is highly desired.
• Lean and six sigma experience or certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day distribution, warehousing and fulfillment operations.
• Maintain and enhance safety, quality, delivery and cost standards.
• Create and implement standard work to drive cost reduction.
• Develop and manage warehouse KPI’s and metrics.
• Lead Kaizen and Lean initiatives with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate corrective and preventative actions for service failures.
• Manage warehouse, inventory and transportation workforce and development.
