Job summary

Atkore in Hobart, IN seeks a Warehouse Manager to lead the 3-shift operation, overseeing receiving, storage, picking, and shipping. You will manage a department of ~7 salary and 60-80 hourly employees, ensuring safety, quality, delivery and cost goals.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) with 10+ years in warehouse/logistics, including 7 years in management and experience with WMS/JDE/RF Smart. Salary ranges from $90,960 to $125,070.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of warehouse and logistics experience, with 7 years at the management level.
• 5-7 years of experience managing a Warehouse facility with responsibility for a budget of $12-15MM.
• Experience managing employee relations in a unionized environment.
• Experience with WMS, JDE and RF Smart highly desired.
• Experience with lean and six sigma processes and/or Lean/Six Sigma certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day distribution, warehousing, and fulfillment operations; maintain and enhance standards.
• Ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met.
• Drive cost reduction through standard work.
• Create and manage distribution center KPIs.
• Lead cross-functional Kaizen and Lean initiatives.
• Collaborate to investigate service failures and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and manage warehouse, inventory, and transportation workforce.
• Improve commercial metrics and on-time delivery.
