Job summary

Dorman Products is hiring a Warehouse Engineering Manager to optimize the interface between physical warehouses and configured systems, driving safety, productivity, capacity, and cost efficiency across distribution facilities.

This hands-on technical leadership role leads layout, slotting, labor standards, and master data while mentoring junior OPEX team members. Expect travel and close collaboration with Operations to deliver sustained improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Five or more years of relevant experience in warehouse engineering or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, material flow, and distribution design.

Responsibilities

• Lead warehouse engineering activities across facilities: layout, slotting, material flow, storage configuration, capacity optimization.
• Optimize pick paths, zones, racking configurations, and storage density for productivity and space utilization.
• Manage labor standards governance, including maintenance, validation, and performance analysis.
• Maintain AutoCAD layouts and develop warehouse designs for current operations and future capacity.
• Oversee new-part setups, process routings, and related master data to align with system configuration.
• Develop capacity, labor, throughput, and space-utilization analyses to identify constraints and improvements.
• Lead problem-solving efforts using 8D, 5 Why, PDCA, and root-cause analysis.
• Provide technical recommendations and business cases for warehouse improvements and capital needs.
• Support projects involving layout, storage systems, automation, routing, and workflow changes.
• Collaborate with Operations and cross-functional teams to validate sustained results.
