Job summary

Dorman Products is seeking a Warehouse Engineering Manager to enhance warehouse operations by integrating infrastructure with system configurations. You will oversee layout planning, slotting strategies, labor standards, and process optimization across multiple distribution centers.

You will mentor junior team members, drive continuous improvements using structured problem solving, and develop strong business cases for capital investments.

Qualifications

• Degree related to industrial engineering, logistics, or operations management.
• 5+ years in warehouse engineering or distribution facility design.
• Experience with slotting, layout refinement, and capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead warehouse engineering initiatives across multiple distribution centers.
• Optimize layout, slotting, material flow, storage configurations, and capacity.
• Govern labor standards and performance tracking for productivity improvements.
• Create and maintain precise layouts using AutoCAD or equivalents.
• Analyze capacity, labor efficiency, throughput, and space utilization to identify bottlenecks.
• Develop technical proposals and business cases for warehouse projects.
• Mentor junior OPEX team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
