Job summary

Dorman Products in Warsaw, KY seeks a Warehouse Engineering Manager to lead cross-site optimization, drive layout and slotting improvements, and optimize material handling to maximize capacity and efficiency across distribution centers.

You will mentor the OPEX team, develop detailed technical proposals and business cases, implement automation and storage-system projects, and collaborate with Operations to validate changes and sustain gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in warehouse engineering, industrial engineering, or distribution facility design/supply chain engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead warehouse engineering initiatives across multiple distribution centers to optimize layout, slotting, material handling, and capacity.
• Analyze pick paths, putaway, zoning and storage density to improve productivity and space utilization.
• Govern labor standards and performance tracking to support efficient workforce management.
• Create and update precise warehouse layouts using AutoCAD or equivalent software.
• Collaborate with Operations and cross-functional teams to implement improvements and sustain gains.
• Develop technical proposals and business cases to justify warehouse improvement projects and capital investments.
• Mentor and develop junior OPEX team members and maintain engineering standards across facilities.
