Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Automation Engineer to identify, pilot, and deploy innovative automation technologies across multiple facilities. The role collaborates with operations, IT, product teams, and external partners to validate solutions and deliver measurable value.

The position emphasizes ROI-driven decisions, vendor management, and cross-functional leadership to accelerate deployments and improve service delivery for customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field is required.
• Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering is preferred.
• 3+ years in warehouse automation or related fields.
• Experience with automations, finance, and project management is expected.
• Knowledge of CAD, slotting, MOST, simulation, WMS and data visualization tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation selection and validation on projects by identifying potential technologies.
• Validate vendor SOW/FSD to close gaps and ensure alignment with requirements.
• Provide input on design options for implementation and performance.
• Support procurement and vendor reviews for quotes and collateral.
• Manage smaller projects and track milestones, punch lists, and go-live activities.
• Coordinate on-site support and SAT testing and post-go-live optimization.
• Analyze data to support system optimization and efficiency improvements.
