Job summary

Jackson Lewis P.C. is seeking a Lead Statistician in the Wage & Hour Data Analytics group to support projects based on client timekeeping and payroll data. The role involves autonomous work, handling complex attorney/client issues, and supervising analysts.

You will collaborate with attorneys, lead 2–3 statisticians, and drive methodology from data intake through completion, while ensuring quality and communicating findings clearly to counsel.

Qualifications

• Seven years of data experience with Wage & Hour data, preferably in a legal or HR context.
• Experience with California Wage & Hour data a plus.
• Lead data analytics projects from start to finish.
• Strong project management and prioritization.
• Oversee others with QA and code reviews.
• Expert in R or Python and Excel for automation.
• Translate analyses into recommendations for counsel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact of attorneys, clients, and team manager to determine strategies on projects.
• Assess client exposure under litigation scenarios using appropriate methods.
• Oversee the work of 2-3 statisticians to ensure timely, high-quality output.
• Ensure quality of work product produced by statisticians.
• Act as teacher and role model for technical and behavioral skills.
• Collaborate with attorneys and statisticians on analysis revisions during mediation.
• Provide clear communications of analysis processes and results to attorneys and clients.
• Develop strong relationships with attorneys and clients.
• Execute tasks proactively and manage own time and quality.
• Expand data tools and automation for the team.
• Lead multiple projects from data intake to analysis completion.
• Support hiring, training, and development of team members.
• Serve as ambassador for the W&H Team to others outside the core statisticians.
