Job summary

The Lead Statistician role at Jackson Lewis P.C. in the Wage & Hour Data Analytics group leads data-driven analyses of class action and wage-and-hour matters, while managing a small team of statisticians and coordinating with attorneys and clients.

You will oversee project delivery from data intake to methodology, expand tools, and mentor teammates, while communicating findings clearly and advancing the firm’s analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

• Seven years of data experience with Wage & Hour topics.
• Experience with California Wage & Hour data is a plus.
• Experience leading analytics projects independently.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and teams.
• Advanced skills in R or Python and Excel.
• Strong communication with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to translate analyses into legal recommendations.
• Master’s degree or commensurate experience in statistics.

Responsibilities

• Lead 2-3 statisticians to deliver on multiple data projects.
• Serve as primary contact for attorneys, clients, and team manager.
• Develop strategies on class action data analytics and practice initiatives.
• Explain complex analyses clearly to attorneys and clients.
• Expand data tools and automate processes.
• Oversee quality-control and timely delivery.
• Support hiring and training of team members.
• Represent the W&H Team in cross-team collaboration.
