Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Chief Engineer for Vertical Takeoff and Vertical Landing (VTVL) systems, based onsite in the United States, with locations in Mojave, CA or Long Beach, CA.

The role leads end-to-end mission-critical programs and owns the vehicle's architecture and margins. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, drive design maturity from concept to flight, and ensure manufacturability and readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 15 years of engineering experience.
• Experience as a technical lead on a major spacecraft/launch vehicle or safety-critical system.
• Experience leading engineering reviews and making design/requirements trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Own vehicle technical architecture, interfaces, margins, and performance allocations.
• Lead vehicle design from concept through qualification, test, and deployment.
• Own risk identification and retirement; drive early testing of high-risk technologies.
• Define development, qualification, and flight-test approach to retire risks.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, test, and operations to ensure producibility and operability.
