Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. in Mojave, CA is seeking a propulsion engineer to advance development of propulsion systems for sub-orbital VTVL vehicles.

You will contribute across sizing, design, fabrication and test, reporting to the Propulsion Lead as part of a joint propulsion team with the Pittsburgh office. Responsibilities include design/testing support, component sizing, trade studies, modeling, vendor specifications, test planning, and technical reporting.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or similar degree.
• 2+ years of propulsion design, analysis, manufacture, integration and/or test.
• Familiar with system-level fluid/thermal analysis and modeling tools.
• Experience with solid modeling and component specification for fluid systems.
• Ability to work in a small-team, multi-tasking environment.

Responsibilities

• Support design and test of rocket propulsion systems.
• Size propulsion components including turbomachinery, valves, and feed systems.
• Perform trade studies with propulsion system models to inform design.
• Create solid models of propulsion components for modeling or fabrication.
• Draft component specifications for vendors and procurement.
• Develop and execute test plans; analyze results.
• Support testing operations for engines and components.
• Write reports and present findings to technical teams.
