Job summary

Talisman is seeking a Vice President of Project Finance to lead financing for utility-scale renewable energy projects from outreach to close, in a senior, hands-on role. You will own the full financing lifecycle, negotiate with capital providers, and guide a dedicated Associate within an entrepreneurial environment.

The role requires a foundation in project finance with strong judgment, negotiation and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years of relevant experience in renewable energy project finance or infrastructure finance.
• Proven experience leading complex transactions through financial close.
• Meaningful experience with tax equity and/or project debt in the U.S. renewable energy market.
• Strong commercial judgment and negotiation, financial analysis and transaction-management capabilities.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams without relying solely on formal authority.
• Experience managing or developing junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Own the full transaction lifecycle for utility-scale renewable energy financings, from strategy and outreach through closing.
• Lead tax equity, debt and other project-level capital transactions across a multiyear pipeline.
• Make commercial recommendations on financing structure, economics, risk, and execution strategy.
• Serve as the internal deal leader with accountability for schedules, workstreams and deliverables.
• Lead negotiations with tax equity investors, lenders and other capital providers.
• Coordinate with development, commercial, legal, tax, accounting, engineering and construction teams.
• Identify obstacles early and develop pragmatic solutions to move transactions toward close.
• Evaluate proposals, term sheets and financing alternatives based on economics, risk and strategic fit.
• Oversee financial modeling, diligence, investment materials, approvals and documentation.
• Manage external counsel, consultants and other advisors.
• Provide clear, decision-oriented updates to senior leadership and escalate issues with solutions.
• Manage and develop an Associate supporting execution.
• Contribute to development of the project finance organization.
