Job summary

Talisman is seeking a Vice President in New York to lead execution on M&A and strategic advisory in the Power, Utilities & Infrastructure space. You will work closely with senior bankers, sponsors and clients on complex transactions from diligence through closing.

The role emphasizes hands-on execution over origination, offering significant client exposure, leadership responsibility, and high-impact transaction oversight in a lean, growth-focused platform.

Qualifications

• Minimum VP level (VP1/VP2) in investment banking with strong M&A execution.
• Excellent modeling and valuation capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and provide senior client exposure.
• Strong communication, presentation skills and commercial judgment.
• Experience in Power/Utilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day execution of complex transactions.
• Leading financial analysis, valuation and modelling.
• Managing Associates and Analysts across live engagements.
• Reviewing transaction materials and providing senior technical oversight.
• Coordinating diligence and workstreams across processes.
• Working directly with senior executives, sponsors, corporates and other counterparties.
• Developing strategic and transaction recommendations with senior bankers.
• Preparing and delivering high-impact client presentations.
• Training and developing junior team members.
• Contributing sector and market expertise across power, utilities and energy infrastructure.
