BNY is seeking a seasoned Application Support Manager/Senior Application Support Engineer to lead a 20–25 person team in Pittsburgh. You will oversee L2/L3 support across mainframe and distributed environments, drive incident resolution, and implement SRE practices with automation and AI-driven improvements.

Ideal candidates bring 10–12 years in production support, hands‑on Java/mainframe experience, and strong leadership in regulated financial services settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline required; 10–12 years of experience preferred.
• Experience providing production support for enterprise applications across distributed and mainframe environments.
• Hands‑on experience supporting Java‑based and mainframe applications.
• Leadership experience managing teams of 20–25 in production support or operations.
• Experience with AI/ML applications, automation of tasks, and incident management.

Responsabilités

• Provide L2/L3 production support leadership for enterprise applications across mainframe and distributed platforms.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 20–25 application support engineers.
• Monitor health, investigate incidents, and drive timely resolution of production issues; perform root cause analysis.
• Support and troubleshoot integrations across mainframe, distributed, and hybrid systems; collaborate with multiple teams.
• Drive SRE practices, including observability, monitoring, alerting, automation, and continuous service improvement.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks using AI and scripting; participate in releases and capacity planning.
