BNY Mellon in Pittsburgh seeks an experienced Application Support Manager / Senior Application Support Engineer to lead a 20–25 person team across mainframe and distributed platforms. You’ll drive incident resolution, root cause analysis, and stability improvements while advancing AI and automation initiatives.

The role emphasizes leadership, cross-team collaboration, and on-call readiness to support critical financial systems with a strong focus on reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• 10-12 years of related experience; securities/financial services background a plus.
• Strong production support for enterprise apps across distributed and mainframe environments.
• Leadership experience managing teams of 20–25 in production support or operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support leadership for enterprise applications across mainframe and distributed platforms.
• Mentor and manage a team of 20-25 application support engineers with accountability and growth.
• Perform root cause analysis for application, database, messaging, and infra issues.
• Support and troubleshoot integrations across mainframe, distributed, and hybrid systems.
• Analyze logs and system performance to drive corrective actions and reliability.
• Drive SRE practices: observability, monitoring, automation, and continuous improvement.
