Job summary

BNY is seeking a Senior SVP Mainframe Engineer to lead design, development, and maintenance of critical OMS on the mainframe. You will mentor juniors, participate in code reviews, and drive modernization toward scalable microservice and cloud-based architecture with AI tools.

Location options include Lake Mary, FL or Pittsburgh, PA. The role requires 8–12 years in software development with strong mainframe expertise, including COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2, plus exposure to Java/Spring and DevOps

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
8–12 years in software development with strong mainframe proficiency.
Support and maintain the legacy Order Management System (OMS) on the mainframe.
Deliver BAU enhancements, maintenance, and system updates.
Lead investigation, development, testing, and deployment of fixes for production issues.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain applications across front-end and back-end using mainframe and modern tech.
Write well-designed, testable, efficient code and integrate components.
Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews.
Collaborate with Product/Business teams to address issues and requirements.
