Job summary

SOCOTEC US is seeking a Senior Vice President, Business Development to lead strategic growth across the Northeast and oversee the national Proposal organization, aligning pursuit, revenue and client experience. You will partner with the COO and CCO, drive data-driven decisions, implement AI-enabled processes, and build scalable commercial systems to support sustainable organic growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive business development, commercial, or related leadership experience, ideally within AEC or similar industries.
• Proven success driving net-new revenue generation and strategic account development.
• Experience leading BD, proposal, or commercial teams with executive presence.
• Strong understanding of complex B2B sales cycles and proposal development.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive net-new customer revenue generation across the Northeast, with an initial focus on developing new client relationships, expanding market share, and building a strong regional pipeline.
• Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for SOCOTEC USA's national Proposal organization.
• Develop and execute business development strategies that align with SOCOTEC's broader growth objectives.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Legal, Finance, Operations, and business-unit leadership to strengthen proposal content and pursuit effectiveness.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and technology to increase Proposal team capacity and speed.
• Establish national best practices for pursuit and proposal strategy, delivery, and performance reporting.
