Job summary

SOCOTEC, Inc. in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Proposal Writer/Proposal Specialist to join the national proposals team.

This full-time role requires four in-office days per week with one remote day, focusing on building proposals for public-sector clients and coordinating with multiple service lines. You will develop technical proposals and qualifications tailored to procurement requirements, collaborate with service line leaders, and ensure accuracy and timely delivery while maintaining

Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in proposal writing, estimating, and qualifications preparation.
Knowledge of New York municipalities, agencies, and public-sector procurement processes preferred.
Exceptional organizational and written communication skills with a focus on accuracy, compliance and attention to detail.
Bachelor’s degree required; architecture, engineering, or related field desirable.
Proficient in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office; Deltek Vantagepoint desirable.

Responsibilities

Develop proposals and qualifications packages for public-sector clients.
Coordinate with service line leaders to define scope and fees.
Participate in daily team scrum to review priorities and progress.
Review qualification requests and assign input to appropriate leaders.
Prepare technical proposals reflecting SOCOTEC’s expertise and competitive advantages.
Ensure compliance with client requirements and maintain CRM data in Deltek.
