Job summary

SOCOTEC US is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across Mid-Atlantic markets and geographies. You will foster executive-level client relationships, sponsor proposals, and coordinate cross-functional teams across building, transportation, environmental, and construction services.

From PA to DC Metro, you will develop outreach plans, manage budgets and pricing models, and collaborate with sales, marketing, and technical leadership to win strategic opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building relationships with public- and private-sector clients in engineering, architecture, environmental, transportation, construction management, or infrastructure industries.
• Experience working with public agencies, municipalities, departments of transportation, transit agencies, utilities, and private development clients is highly desirable.
• An established professional network within the Mid-Atlantic region is strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management.

Responsibilities

• Perform market outreach and identify opportunities in PA, DE, MD, Northern VA, and DC Metro territory.
• Develop strategic business development plans to facilitate revenue growth.
• Establish executive-level relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to identify opportunities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with PennDOT, DelDOT, MDOT, DDOT, VDOT, and other infrastructure stakeholders.
• Maintain a qualified sales pipeline and annual revenue forecast; support revenue growth targets.
• Coordinate go/no-go decisions with technical leadership and capture strategies with the marketing team.
• Track opportunities; manage outreach programs and update CRM with activity details.
• Conduct regular client visits and site visits within the territory, following safety requirements.
