Associated Bank in the United States seeks an SVP, Business Development Officer – Asset Based Lending to drive new mid-sized and large-company growth. You will lead complex opportunities, build referral networks, and collaborate across the bank to deliver tailored lending solutions.

Responsibilities include analyzing financials, structuring pricing, coordinating due diligence, cross-selling treasury and private banking services, and maintaining an accurate sales pipeline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of Asset Based Lending or B2B sales and business development experience.
• Proven track record of sales success and client relationship management.
• Knowledge of treasury and other non-borrowing commercial banking products.
• Reliable transportation and ability to lawfully drive.

Responsibilities

• Drive new ABL business through Centers of Influence including private equity sponsors, investment bankers, attorneys, and accountants.
• Develop high-quality prospects and convert opportunities into closed, profitable relationships.
• Analyze financial statements, collateral reports, and risk factors to ensure compliance with credit policy and regulatory guidelines.
• Partner with internal teams to structure competitive pricing, credit solutions, and return strategies.
• Cross-sell treasury management, capital markets, private banking, wealth management, and other non-borrowing services.
• Coordinate due diligence from initial screening through legal documentation and loan closing.
• Represent the bank in community and industry organizations to build brand presence and referral networks.
• Maintain accurate pipeline and activity reporting in Salesforce and other required systems.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
