Job summary

Associated Bank seeks an SVP-Relationship Manager to shepherd a complex asset-based lending portfolio and lead loan documentation and closings. You will drive growth, deepen client relationships, and coordinate with internal teams to deliver comprehensive financial solutions.

The role requires 8+ years in commercial banking, strong communication skills, and a proven track record in business development and client management. Travel expectations and a client-facing workload are involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years of experience in commercial banking or B2B sales.
• Demonstrated knowledge of commercial banking products and services, including non-borrowing solutions.
• Proven success in business development, sales, and client relationship management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of asset-based lending relationships with strong retention and growth.
• Lead the closing of lending opportunities, negotiating loan documentation and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Monitor portfolio performance by analyzing financial statements and covenant compliance.
• Recommend account strategies and risk mitigation solutions based on client performance and credit quality.
• Ensure portfolio risk management aligns with credit policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues to connect clients with banking, treasury, wealth management and capital markets solutions.
