Job summary

Associated Bank seeks an Asset Based Lending Team Leader in the Minneapolis area to guide a lending group and manage underwriting, credit monitoring, and portfolio quality.

You will lead Relationship and Portfolio Managers, drive strategic objectives, and deliver client-focused lending solutions while supporting growth and compliance. Strong leadership and industry experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of asset-based lending, commercial banking, or corporate lending experience.
• 7+ years of leadership, preferably managing five+ direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of lending professionals with coaching and performance management.
• Oversee portfolio administration and credit risk to ensure policy and regulatory compliance.
• Guide credit decisions and risk mitigation strategies based on client performance.
• Coordinate due diligence and partnerships throughout the lending process.
• Monitor portfolio performance and client financial health to maintain credit quality.
• Manage renewals, portfolio reviews, and delivery of credit solutions.
• Collaborate with teams to deepen client relationships and opportunities for banking solutions.
• Serve as client-facing leader on complex transactions and amendments.
