Qualifications

• 6-10 years experience in an Apps Support role would be an added advantage
• Strong hands-on technical expertise across core tech stack: Java, WebSphere, TIBCO EMS, IBM MQ, IBM Connect Direct
• Solid database and data skills: Oracle, MongoDB, PL/SQL with complex SQL
• Cloud/container experience: OpenShift and GCP; release tooling like UDeploy
• Proficiency with monitoring/observability tools: Kibana, Splunk, AppDynamics
• Strong problem-solving and incident-management mindset; root cause analysis
• Experience with people management
• Assertive communications; engaging large audiences and stakeholders
• Experience with application support is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Manages one or more apps support teams
• Oversees production environment visibility for tech and business
• Guides feedback reviews with development managers and tracks long-term fixes
• Handles incidents and problems with root-cause analysis and closure
• Collaborates with product owners and tech teams to document system impacts
• Aware of audit and compliance issues
• Formulates strategies for apps support and related areas
• Drives stability initiatives for high availability and resiliency
• Manages budget and resource planning for the apps support area
• Develops people and conducts performance evaluations and reviews
• Maintains effective stakeholder communication
• Escalates and reports control issues with transparency
