Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus is seeking a Volunteer Program Senior Coordinator to oversee daily coordination and management of the James volunteer programs and satellite facilities. You will train new volunteers and ensure proper coverage across locations.

You will assist the Associate Director with planning and implementing new volunteer programs, organize recognition events, and drive volunteer recruitment and promotion within the Medical Center and surrounding

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, communications or related field.
Master’s degree in health care preferred.
Minimum 4 years professional experience, preferably in the health care industry or related field.
Ability to work in matrix environment and provide team leadership across reporting and departmental lines.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily coordination and management of volunteer programs at The James and satellite facilities.
Provide coordination and training for all new volunteers and ensure appropriate coverage.
Assist the Associate Director in monitoring and supporting existing programs and in planning and implementing new programs.
Coordinate recognition events and volunteer promotion and recruitment within the Medical Center and community.
Attend outpatient locations to shadow volunteers, meet site contacts, and deliver items to volunteers.
