Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration in Columbus, OH is seeking a Voluntary Services Specialist to coordinate volunteer programs, philanthropic activities, and community partnerships that advance VA's mission. You will lead the Center for Development and Civic Engagement, supervise volunteer placement, and develop strategic plans to enhance veteran services across the Columbus VA Health Care System.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating volunteer programs, philanthropic activities, and community partnerships.
• Familiarity with VA policies and federal requirements for volunteer services.
• Ability to develop plans and manage multiple programs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate CDCE/Voluntary Service programs and manage volunteer placements.
• Develop short and long-range plans to achieve program goals.
• Build internal and external partnerships to support donations and volunteers.
• Plan and execute complex events, including national or VISN-wide gatherings.
• Maintain volunteer records and ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards.
