Job summary

Leidos is seeking a seasoned Senior VoIP, VTC, and Telephony Solution Engineer to design, integrate, validate, deploy, and sustain enterprise Unified Communications and Collaboration solutions. Reporting to the Voice/VTC Manager, you will lead as a technical contributor or lead for projects and mentor junior engineers.

You will work across Transport, Network Operations, Cybersecurity, and vendors to ensure secure, resilient, and operable solutions, involving lab validation, implementation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering.
• 8–12 years of relevant VoIP/VTC/telephony/unified communications experience.
• Experience leading complex VoIP/VTC projects with multiple technologies.
• Experience designing lifecycle from requirements to transition to operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical planning and execution of VoIP, VTC, and collaboration projects.
• Coordinate engineering activities across multiple tech areas.
• Provide technical guidance and review engineering work products.
• Identify risks and propose mitigation.
• Develop engineering estimates and implementation schedules.
• Mentor other engineers through design reviews and troubleshooting.
• Configure and deploy IP telephony systems, SBCs, VTC, UC platforms.
• Collaborate with vendors and customers to align requirements.
