Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Virtual Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and operate VMware-based virtualization across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments. The role emphasizes automation, capacity management, and supporting a large VMware estate with vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Tanzu, and Aria.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of hands-on VMware experience, strong PowerCLI scripting, and familiarity with SRM for disaster recovery.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
6+ years of hands-on VMware platform engineering experience.
Deep expertise in vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
Hands-on experience with vSAN and storage policy management.
Experience with NSX-T or NSX-V networking.
Strong PowerCLI scripting skills and automation tooling.
Familiarity with Tanzu Kubernetes Grid or VMware container platforms.
Strong disaster recovery patterns and SRM.
Strong troubleshooting skills across compute, network, and storage layers; excellent communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and operate VMware-based virtualization across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments.
Focus on automation, capacity management, and efficient operations of a large VMware estate.
Collaborate with teams to ensure reliability, performance, and security of the virtualization platform.
Maintain documentation and support disaster recovery procedures.
