Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies seeks a Data Center Virtualization Engineer to design, deploy, and operate VMware-based virtualization across on‑premises and hybrid cloud environments. You will manage vSphere/vSAN/NSX, build Tanzu Grid environments, and automate provisioning with PowerCLI, Terraform, Ansible, and vRO.

The role emphasizes capacity management, DR planning, and modernization of the VMware estate while aligning with a broader cloud strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Five or more years of hands-on VMware platform engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
• Hands-on experience with vSAN and storage policy management.
• Experience with NSX-T or NSX-V networking.
• Strong PowerCLI scripting skills and automation tooling.
• Familiarity with Tanzu Kubernetes Grid or VMware container platforms.
• Strong understanding of disaster recovery patterns and SRM.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across compute, network, and storage layers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate VMware vSphere, vSAN, and NSX environments across data centers and hybrid cloud deployments.
• Build and maintain Tanzu Kubernetes Grid environments for containerized workloads.
• Implement self-service VM provisioning with automation for lifecycle management and policy enforcement.
• Operate NSX-T networking including micro-segmentation and load balancing.
• Manage vSAN clusters, storage policies, and storage performance for diverse workloads.
• Plan and implement disaster recovery and business continuity using SRM and replication.
• Build automation for VMware infrastructure using PowerCLI, Terraform, Ansible, and vRO.
• Design capacity management strategies including right-sizing, reservation, and workload placement.
• Oversee VMware Cloud Foundation deployments and integration with hybrid cloud strategy.
• Integrate VMware with cloud providers (VMware Cloud on AWS, AVS, GCVE) and build observability.
• Lead upgrades, lifecycle management, and patching with minimal disruption.
• Troubleshoot complex VMware issues spanning compute, network, and storage.
