Job summary

Associated Bank is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, automate, and support critical infrastructure that keeps applications and data running securely, reliably, and efficiently. You’ll partner with application and technology teams to improve deployment, performance, availability, and resilience.

You’ll mentor engineers, share knowledge, and help shape technology direction while collaborating across partners and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience with the VMware portfolio (VCF, SRM, vSAN, NSX, HCX).
• 5+ years of Terraform Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management (Ansible, GitHub Actions), plus container solutions.
• 5+ years of PowerShell, HashiCorp HCL, RESTful APIs, YAML/JSON, and PowerCLI.

Responsibilities

• Design and automate private cloud infrastructure and technology solutions.
• Manage incident and problem resolution by troubleshooting connectivity and infrastructure issues.
• Automate testing, configuration, release, and deployment using infrastructure-as-code and DevOps practices.
• Monitor infrastructure capacity, availability, and performance.
• Maintain hardware/software inventories and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with service providers and teams to resolve issues and strengthen infrastructure.
• Support business resilience with disaster recovery documentation and testing.
• Coach engineers through knowledge sharing and training.
