Job summary

Associated Bank is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, automate, and support critical infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient operations. You will collaborate with application and technology teams to improve deployment, performance, availability, and resilience while guiding other engineers.

Responsibilities include automating private cloud solutions, incident resolution, IaC practices, monitoring, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• 8+ years with VMware portfolio (VCF, SRM, vSAN, NSX, HCX).
• 5+ years Terraform IaC, CI/CD, Ansible, GitHub Actions, containers.
• 5+ years PowerShell, HashiCorp HCL, RESTful APIs, YAML/JSON, PowerCLI.

Responsibilities

• Design and automate private cloud infrastructure and technology solutions.
• Manage incident and problem resolution by troubleshooting issues and root causes.
• Automate testing, configuration, release, and deployment using IaC and DevOps.
• Monitor capacity, availability, and performance; recommend improvements.
• Maintain inventories, diagrams, docs, and system records for operations.
• Partner with providers, tech teams, business partners, and leadership to resolve issues.
• Support resilience with disaster recovery documentation and testing.
• Coach and mentor engineers, sharing knowledge and shaping tech direction.
