Harbinger Motors is seeking a Vehicle Test Engineer to plan, execute, and analyze vehicle tests ensuring quality, performance, and safety. You will instrument vehicles, conduct field tests, and collaborate with design and manufacturing to resolve issues.

The role demands a BS in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering with 5+ years in vehicle testing, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in data tools and Jira. California on-site position with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of vehicle test engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems including powertrain, chassis, electrical and electronics.
• Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills; proficient in data tools and MS Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work independently and in teams.
• Familiarity with ISO/SAE testing standards and NVH/durability/reliability testing (bonus).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans for vehicle systems and components.
• Instrument and calibrate data acquisition to ensure data quality and accuracy.
• Conduct field and controlled environment vehicle testing.
• Analyze test data to diagnose issues and propose improvements.
• Document results and track findings in Jira; present clear recommendations.
• Collaborate with design, development, and manufacturing teams to refine performance.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment for reliability.
• Contribute to new test methodologies and internal standards.
