Job summary

Harbinger is seeking a Sr. Reliability Test Engineer in California to own reliability profiles for vehicle systems, lead accelerated lifecycle tests, and drive data-driven improvements in our EV platform.

You will collaborate with design and product teams, perform root-cause analysis, document results, and present findings to stakeholders while ensuring safety protocols and offsite test readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Materials Science with 5+ years of reliability experience.
• Experience with reliability calculations and developing test profiles.
• Hands-on testing of PCBAs, battery, or thermal systems.
• Proficiency in Python or Matlab for data analysis.
• Strong technical writing skills for documenting test reports.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with product design engineers to ensure products meet life targets.
• Perform reliability calculations and develop detailed test-plans for accelerated lifecycle tests.
• Lead the execution of reliability tests.
• Lead root cause analysis of test and field failures.
• Support cross-functional DFMEA sessions.
• Travel to offsite test locations as needed.
• Develop in-house test infrastructure to validate systems.
• Train personnel on required processes and operations of complex test systems.
• Ensure all tests comply with safety protocols.
• Document results and present to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with suppliers and design teams to improve reliability.
