Job summary

CrossFire Group in Toledo, OH seeks a Senior Project Manager for a contract role guiding automotive launch activities. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage plans, budgets, and risks to ensure on-time, within-budget launches across vehicle programs.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in automotive program management, strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 8+ years of automotive experience.
• Minimum 3 years in program management.
• Excellent communication and computer skills.
• Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interface with all levels of management and labor.
• Self-motivated change agent with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional team to launch a new vehicle on time and within budget.
• Create and track resource plans, WBS, and master plan.
• Establish project funding and track status to budget.
• Lead steering committee meetings and escalate issues as needed.
• Develop pilot schedules and manage execution.
• Track plan versus actual with daily meetings and reports.
• Manage global KPIs/KAIs and escalate risks.
• IH review preparation and execution.
• Coordinate workshops to resolve major issues.
• Lead issue-resolution meetings with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with team leads, quality, and engineering.
• Build relationships with engineering and manufacturing to understand requirements.
• Develop and improve work methods.
• Work with functional and operations managers to improve productivity, quality, and output.
• Support SIS Launch Domain (LD) and WPI workplace integration.
